Welcome to Philosphere

This web site is being mapped into four domains of evaluation (or meaning). You may view or contribute to any and all the domains. Each domain is a construct for different purposes. The first three are ways of evaluating our first-hand experiences of what is going on (WIGO) at the 'silent' level, (what is not words.) J. Samuel Bois described it as the 'behavioral' world: The complex whole of humans-active-in-their-total-space-time-environment. If we take all humans into account, we have a complex whole that corresponds roughly to Teilhard's 'noosphere'. This behavioral world has many dimensions, including of course the space-time dimensions of our common-sense world, plus a limitless number of other dimensions that defy any form of graphic or imaginative representation. We may suggest some of the following: a 'psychological' distance dimension, of nearness or remoteness that is rather felt than measured; a vectorial dimension of 'directionality' in terms of objectives to be reached, of a thrust of energy towards ends and purposes, of levels of aspiration; a striving dimension of intensity of interest, emotional involvement, dedication, fanaticism, commitment, and potential resolve; a dimension of inward movement revealed by turbulence, harmonious rhythm, or neutral quietness, of deep-surging tides of unconscious drives and tendencies, of pre-conscious affects and acquired need, or consciously accepted choices and decisions.

It is an ever-active plenum that is cumulatively time-bound and creatively time-binding, a space-time ongoing process that is conscious of itself, self-reflexive, responsible within a range of limited autonomy, ceaselessly expanding and advancing at its own speed and rhythm. It is the world of happening-meanings, of semantic transactions coalescing into semantic states that are eventually expressed in institutions, world of art, organizations, cultural and religious movements, and political constitutions."
